The Main Studio is our large hall with approximately 10 x 16 metres and 6 metres to the ceiling. The entrance to the hall is level through a wide doorway, making it easy to bring in technical equipment or scenography. The basic lighting in the ceiling is supplemented by pendant lights with dimming, and total blackout is possible. Air conditioning and ventilation systems ensure comfortable temperature and air quality. The room is also ideal as a meeting room for larger meetings, seminars, conferences, workshops and the like.

It has been a very positive experience with rehearsals in good, bright and large rehearsal rooms with high ceilings. It means a lot for an independent group without a stage to find good rehearsal rooms in the city centre at reasonable prices. / (Det har været en meget positiv oplevelse med prøver i gode, lyse og store prøvelokaler med højt til loftet. Det betyder meget for en fri gruppe uden scene at finde gode prøvelokaler midt i centrum, til fornuftige priser.)

Technical specifications

Measurements

The hall measures 10 metres in width x 16 metres in length. The ceiling in the Great Hall is just over 6 metres high.

The hall measures a total of 145 m2.

The door to the hall measures 2.3 metres in width x 2.25 metres in height.

Accessibility

The Main Studio has level-free access.

Basic lighting

Ordinary basic ceiling lighting and pendant lights with dimming.

There is no lighting in the Great Hall.

It is possible to darken the hall if wanted.

Key access

Our key system is digital. On the night of the first day of your booking period, you will receive an email from the key system ‘Salto KS’ with instructions to download an app. You use this app as your access key for the period you have booked.

Nice to know

Time slots for rehearsel

Monday to Friday 08:00 - 24:00.

It is possible to purchase access for weekends, where you can use the room until Sunday at 18:00

Get in / get out

Access from the street to the building is through two gates:

The gate from the street measures 2.8m (w) x clear height
The gate to the backyard measures 2.65m (w) x 3.1m (h)
Access to building is through door measuring 2.3m (w) x 2.3m (h)

UP does not have the staffing resources to help you with get in/get out or other setup, including technical assistance during the rental period.

The gate

On weekdays, the gate from Baldersgade to the courtyard closes at 19:00, and it is always closed on weekends.

You can only enter and exit with a code, which is available from UP staff.

Theft & insurance

The renter is responsible for taking out insurance for any equipment brought along. 

UP is not responsible for theft or other loss of valuables.

Fees & charges

Renters who leave set design, technical equipment, rubbish etc. behind will be charged a fee of DKK 1,000 to cover UP's additional costs.

Payment

Booking is only finally confirmed upon payment of the invoice. Invoices are sent when a booking request is approved via our booking site.

Please note that the payment deadline is two days.

Cleaning

Basic cleaning of the hall is included in the rental price.

The hall is cleaned every Sunday.

Change and cancellation policy

We understand that situations may arise where you may need to change or cancel your venue booking. To accommodate your needs while ensuring fair treatment of our bookings, we have developed the following changes and cancellation policy:

Renter's responsibility

The renter's responsibility

1. The renter is responsible for ensuring that the activities carried out by the renter in the rented premises are not in violation of public regulations.

2. The renter is liable for damage resulting from neglect, negligence or other irresponsible treatment of the rented property. Furthermore, the renter is liable for damage caused to the property in connection with the operation of the business run from the rented premises, even if the renter has not acted recklessly, as well as damage caused to the property by others to whom the renter has given access to the rented premises.

3. The use of the rented premises must not cause odour, noise or any other form of nuisance or inconvenience to other residents or tenants in the property or neighbourhood.

4. The Renter is not entitled to use common areas or other areas adjacent to the property for storage or storage of goods, packaging or similar.

General facilities

Kitchen & foyer

Booking a room at UP gives access to a foyer with coat racks, as well as a kitchen with a fridge, coffee machine, kettle and cutlery.

Bathroom & toilette

There are four toilets and a shower access on the ground floor.

Parking

It is not possible to park in the courtyard, but there is regular street parking according to local regulations.

Book Main Studio

To book rooms, you must be a member of UP's booking system. Membership is free and is obtained in the following way:

  1. Log in to our booking site with your email address.
  2. Then request membership (click ‘Request to join’), describing who you are and what group you might represent.
  3. Wait for approval from our administrator.


Become a member and book rooms via UP's booking site

Once you are approved as a member, you can request to book a room on the booking site SHOP. You can book meeting rooms directly via the booking site ROOMS.
