UP invites self-producing performing artists, performers, producers and others from the independent performing arts field to Drop-in-Advice - a new counselling format where UP on the last Wednesday morning of each month holds an open counselling session in our Green Room at Baldersgade.
Drop-in Advice is inspired by the successful Morning Producers format in London, where it was developed by ArtsAdmin – an institution with many similarities to UP. Now we're bringing the concept to Denmark. For Drop-In-Advice, UP's team or other experts sit in the Green Room from 10-12 in the morning, ready for professional sparring and dialogue. We make sure there is coffee on tap - and you are welcome to stay for lunch at 12 noon with everyone in the building.
You can bring your specific challenges or questions and be matched with the right advisor. From time to time we might choose a focus area, such as co-productions, internationalisation or fundraising. The format is open and we plan the duration of the advisory sessions according to attendance on the day.
The first time we host a Drop-In Advise session, UP's competent team will be on hand with professional sparring and advice. You can help assess who in the UP team might be relevant to your problem. Our two producers Camilla and Ann-Jette, as well as our communications manager Mathias, are available at the first Drop-In Advice session.
We can advise on:
- Fundraising opportunities and strategies
- Project management and development
- Entrepreneurship and business models
- International exchange and networking
- Touring activities
- Communication and PR
Unfortunately, we cannot advise on:
- Content for applications to the Danish Arts Foundation and private foundations
- Legal matters
- HR-related questions
If you have a question or need guidance in your work that we might be able to help you with, drop by Baldersgade and say hello in our Green Room.
Please note that there may be some waiting time - during this time you are welcome to sit and work in the room.
